S.A. ELECTIONS 2024 PROJECT WAS A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
Newzroom Afrika engaged our expertise for a project focused on data analytics and GUI development.
On May 13, 2024, we received the project brief, which detailed the data requirements and GUI functionality. The task involved compiling historical data for the past four national elections, presented at both Provincial and National levels. The data was structured to allow for the selection of the top 5 or top 10 candidates based on election performance.
The GUI, developed in C#, seamlessly integrated with an SQL database and an API. The API served as a redundancy measure to ensure data reliability. Additionally, we implemented a web interface that read from the API, providing a user-friendly report view. This interface enabled data validation against the official Electoral Commission (EIC) website, ensuring accuracy. The GUI also transformed the data into a format compatible with the graphics system, facilitating the display of election results.
